i dont know, but i dont think so but i dont know what indian ink is. i think the kind of ink in your printer depends on what kind of printer you use and what you are most trying to print, like school papers, photographs, busines cards, etc...
and different mediums would require different kinds of ink to look best. What kind of ink is used when filling your printer? I was told this was ';Indian Ink';, is this correct?
There are a few thousand types of ink for printers on the market now, maybe even more. The range from pigments, dyes, to highly specialized ink containing resins and particulates. There are high purity inks. There are water based inks, alcohol based inks, even some strange ones that are waxy.
Point is that ink is specific to the printer.
I don't know where you heard that but that is not true. Most of the printers (and their cartridges) use different type of ink (density, color, thickness all different) and usually most refill kits come with the same type of ink that the major printer companies (Like HP, Ink, Epson etc...) use in their cartridges.
One thing I can say, there is not such thing as universal ink so never ever try that. That is a marketing scheme. You need to find the specific refill kit for your printer. So many type refill kits are out there, but I would recommend the Korean brand InkTec (they have been around for almost 10 years and I have tried them on multiple occassions) Refill kits, or if you can not find them go less expensive but still somewhat ok ProColor Refill Ink Kits. They are so many out there so here are few links for you:
