did you go throught the computer to tell it that you putting in more ink? try the settings in the printer control panel
Probably one of two things:
If you didn't use a genuine HP cartridge, they're putting controls in now that annoy you until you use their brand.
Secondly, you may have a bad sensor. Try cleaning everything you can see with some alcohol and a swab.
