Hi. The level of ink in the maintenance page is only approximate. Try a cleaning cycle on that page. All three colors and B%26amp;W should show up.I have a Lexmark Z33 printer, that shows I have plenty of ink but it will not print clearly?
Lexmark z33 the 0016 black cartridge, take the cartridge out of the printer, take a paper towel and fold it in half, now dab the cartridge on it to see if the cartridge is bleeding, do you get a solid black line ?, no OK, the chances are the printer had sat for a while and ink had dried on the cartridge head, now you need to boil some water, you also need a container large enough to set the cartridge in, a small bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol and some Q tips, once the water is boiled put about a half inch or so in the container, now dab the cartridge in and out you should see it start to bleed when the water starts turning black, now dab it on the paper towel and never in the same spot so you can see if the cartridge bleeding gets better or not, squeeze the sides of the cartridge with your fingers a few times to induce the bleeding, you should get a solid black line now, now take the Q tip and dip it into the alcohol, turn the Q tip sideways and gently rub the contact board on the back of the cartridge that's the small electronic board on the back make sure the Q tip stays clean, if it gets dirty use a clean one and dip into the alcohol until you get a clean Q tip, now let it sit for 5 minutes, install the cartridge back into the printer and print, hope this helps and good luck.
Get rid of it and buy an hp or canon, because you will continue to have trouble with it....I have been a computer tech for 18 yrs and have had more trouble out of Lexmark than any other printer on the market...
