only epson ink is not water soluble,so there is no prob with epson photo printer, but lexmark and hp ink is water soluble. In that case you can not protect it from rainwater. Is the ink from my photo printer gonna run in the rain???
Most of the new HP printer photos are waterproof using the 6 inks on HP's advanced paper.
buy some lamination sheets wal-mart or any other store with a stationary isle should have them---it's (W-A)is were i got mine
keep all computer equipment

indoors.

covered.
It is possible for it to run if it gets wet. It also will run more if you use a paper that is not like actual photo paper. The difference between photos printed on a computer and photos printed expertly is the type of photo paper and how they are processed. Actual photo paper you can leave in water and it will not harm the colors on the photo but a photo you print at home the colors are on the paper as ink instead of a chemical reaction. A way to protect your printed pictures is plastic page sleeves available at hobby shops as well as target or wal-mart. To protect against sun damage is carry the photos in a three ring binder, photo album, or just keep them out of the sun. If protected well enough with keeping them dry and out of the sun and on acid free papers (normaly everything is now days) it should last a couple generations.
