I have a dell aio printer the black ink is not working?

The color is working fine. I can copy photo's fine, but when I try to copy just

with black it prints nothing. Both are new cartridges (and yes I took off the tape on the cartridge) Any suggestions?I have a dell aio printer the black ink is not working?
Try physically cleaning the print cartridge:

1) First, check the cartridge for physical defects: A common one is to have the gold foil circuitry peeling away from the cartridge.

2) Using rubbing alcohol, clean the bottom part of the cartridge, usually covered in gold foil--part circuitry, part printhead.

3) If the above does not work, try soaking the cartridge in water--making sure that the bottom part with the gold foil is beneath the surface of the water--for a period of about 10 minutes. This will help unclog the printheads.

If either of these do not work, you'll need to replace the cartridge.I have a dell aio printer the black ink is not working?
Do you have a manual for the printer? Go to the Dell website?

Some printers have both ink cartridges and printheads. If yours is one of these then the printhead is probably bad. HP has both. Dell has a forum that you can ask questions on and there is live chat.

Enjoy!!
take it out and put it back in.
You have my empathy here, just finished the same problem. Take a look at the bottom of the cartridge, is there some ink -- brush around the edges of that face? If no ink, you must change the cartridge -- cartridges can easily go ';bad,'; for a number of reasons. I had 2 NG with plenty of ink that I had to discard, the third

is fine. Oh, and be sure your black right now

is not printing from both the computer and the printer, you could have a command problem, be sure all your settings are at ';factory default''; just now, both devices.
