It's a 'Pixma' [something, can't remember the number] and the black ink cartridge has been temperamental for some time now but now even just taking it out and putting it back in doesn't work. It's a genuine Canon cartridge as well. What's wrong? The black ink cartridge has stopped working in my Canon printer...?
Hmm, it's probably a bad cartridge. You can usually contact Canon saying you've got a defect, and they'll send you a no-charge replacement. If you get a new cartridge and run into the same issues, you may have a clog. You may want to give some of the connectors and areas where ink is dispensed a cleaning using a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. The black ink cartridge has stopped working in my Canon printer...?
You can try to refill at walgreen, if it is bad they will tell you when they do the test, there may be a $5.00 off coupon in their flayer. If the cartridge is bad a good place to buy cartridge is www.databazaar.com
