There are usually 3 reasons for this and all are easily fixed:
1) the cartridge is not locked down completely inside of the printer. try pulling up on it (follow instructions for your printer) and then pressing it back down to make sure its seated properly.
2) the printer doesn't know that there is a fresh cartridge. perform a power cycle on the printer. turn it off, for 30 seconds to a minute then back on and just let it sit and power up completely before you try to print. if this doesn't work you can try shutting it off and unplugging it for 5 or so minutes to clear out the memory.
3) your computer isn't getting the message from the printer saying it has fresh ink. shut down whatever program you are trying to print from and try to print again. if it still doesn't work do a restart on your computer.
and as a last resort, type in the model number of your printer and then your question into yahoo and see what domes up.
very last resort. shut it off and also your computer and walk away. try again tomorrow. Why isn't my printer printing in colored ink when the cartiadges are full??r=1221526451?
Cheryl has very good advice %26amp; try those things first, also try looking at the properties (or settings) of the printer and make sure that the 'color printing' mode is enabled. Most systems I've seen have a 'black only' and 'color' mode option. Use the black for documents as using the color mode to print black takes a lot of blended color to make black characters so it uses a ton of ink.Why isn't my printer printing in colored ink when the cartiadges are full??r=1221526451?
