My printer just stopped working one night and supposedly the printhead's clogged up with ink. So my question is, what can I use to dissolve the ink without harming the electronics? (It's absolutely essential for the electronics to remain unaltered). Thank you for your help.Help, my printer's printhead is probably clogged up with ink?
Sometimes a QTip dipped in rubbing alcohol will clean it out, but be careful don't rub hard and don't try to scrape anything off.
If this works for you, it won't be long before you see ink on the QTip, just use another one without alcohol on it and wipe the head dry before you put it back in to use.Help, my printer's printhead is probably clogged up with ink?
Go to control panel, find your printer, click on it and then click on help and type Clean printer heads. From their on follow instructions how to clean it. And if the ink is too old, you may have to buy new cartridges!
Run the printhead cleaner!
You probably wont have any luck in clearing the clogged print head. For starters, its almost impossible to get to, unless the print head is right on the ink cartridge. And unless you know how to remove the print head from the printer, and put it back into the printer, I wouldnt suggest even messing with it. I work on computers as a business, and have seen several ink jet printers come and go. From my experience, once the print head is clogged, its clogged. I have had some luck using a paper towel dampened with windex, and letting the print head sit on that paper towel over night. This only worked if you can get the print head out, and it only worked on a few printers. You could take it into a repair shop, but I would suggest spending your money on a replacement printer because I doubt they could fix it, and if there were to locate a replacement print head, it would probably exceed the cost of just buying a new printer anyways.
Take help from the company's call cent re or better go for a new one installed since the redone/repaired one does not work well.
not sure if this is what you need but run about 1 inch of warm to hot water in something you can stand your cartridge in to dissolve clog in if that's what is plugged clean off with alcohol reinsert will take awhile usually 6 to 12 hrs
