I have a cx8400 and just replaced all the ink. It takes versions 69 for blue/pink/yellow and 68 or 69 for black. It reads all the others except the black, why?My Printer will not read the new black ink cartridge, why not?

Okay are you using original Epson or 3rd party or refilled? Third party will not work due to a firmware update Epson did, and the refills will not work cause the chip has a micro fuse in it that when read as empty burns out.
Take it out and put it back in. If it doesn't work, return the cartridge. They should have a warranty.
hen u install the ink did u run the software for asking u if change the ink . also make sure it is seated good
