LEXMARK Z617 PRINTER NOT RECOGNISING NEW INK CARTRIDGE AS FULL...STILL SAYING EMPTY FORM PREVIOUS CARTRIDGES..?

mine does the same,it still works, just close the window and ignore it, if use use oringinal lexmark ink,it will go away,but a refill will make it come backLEXMARK Z617 PRINTER NOT RECOGNISING NEW INK CARTRIDGE AS FULL...STILL SAYING EMPTY FORM PREVIOUS CARTRIDGES..?
try resetting the printer like this:





1. remove cartridges


2. shut off printer power


3. disconnect printer from computer


4. disconnect power from computer AND printer


5. wait at least 15 minutes


6. reconnect printer to computer


7. restore power to computer and printer


8. install cartridges


9. run cartridge replacement utility and align cartridges be sure to select that you are installing NEW cartridges


10. Done.

You need to go through your new cartridge installation steps and tell your printer you have installed a new cartridge.
its a refill thats why,only original ink cartridges are shown as full .
