I have dell AIO 924 printer i install ink cartridge but in the small printer screen says ink cartridgemissing

do i need black and color ink OR just color


i already install color ink the printer says


BALK/COLOR CARTRIDGE IS MISSING

Remove BOTH. Look at the electrical contacts of both. Try to clean these contacts. Then put BOTH back into the printer.





You should have your next cartridges ready to go. Then it is a 50/50 guess. Let's say that you replace the BLACK and still have the problem. Put that NEW cartridge in a sealed plastic back and put the old one back into the printer. Then replace the more expensive color cartridge. HEY, if that still doesn't work, then just maybe you had to replace BOTH.





If this problem persists, run off to Staples and buy a nice Canon printer. The color comes out better, the cartridges are cheaper; and the system gives you terrific information about which cartridge is low or needs immediate replacement. My Canon has even told me about replacing a cartridge in the middle of the photo. After replacing that cartridge, it resumed printing my photo, and it came out perfect; in spite of the interruption of printing.

try cleaning the golden strip on the ink cartradge and the head of the printer..
