My lexmark printer does not detect the new color ink cartridge. HELP!!?

I know the problem has nothing to do with the computer settings, it is simply a problem of detecting the stupid thing. this same thing happened last time i installed the cartridge, but i forgot how i solved the problem. ask a prayer and answer my question! thank u so much!My lexmark printer does not detect the new color ink cartridge. HELP!!?
There is often a protective covering on the contacts that needs to be removed. Also try to power down the printer and restart.
