I use to have the Epsom, and use to buy the re-filled jets [because they were cheaper]
In the long run it caused more problems than it was worth ~ I produce a lot of photographic and design work, and I have to say that buying the manufactures own jets has proved the best path to follow ~ also remember that with different printers, they can ';heat'; the ink at different temps. ~ so you can never be sure that a re-fill has the right type of ink in it ~ this caused me serious problems with my ';ink head'; getting blocked.Epson Stylus DX48OO Printer. How do I refill the color ink cartridges?
In order to refill the Epson cartridges, you'll need a resetter otherwise printer would show that your cartridge is empty even if you refill it, Buy a resetter from market.First reset the cartridge chip using resetter by pressing the resetter pins against the cartridge circuit(the LED in the resetter will turn to green from red light), then refill it with individual colors(Cyan/Magenta/Yellow)each of 12ml with the syringe by removing the cartridge label on the top %26amp; insert the needle fully in to the refill hole(Middle hole)then pull back the needle approximately 3mm away from the refill hole, then inject the ink slowly(Don't hurry while refilling, take some 20-40 secs to refill a single cartridge).Perform Head clean after inserting the cartridge in to the printer........Epson Stylus DX48OO Printer. How do I refill the color ink cartridges?
I have a Epson DX3800 all in one printer, and I buy compatible cartridges, I think in the long run they are cheaper than refilling, I can buy cartridges off the internet 拢1.65 each (you have to buy 12 off a colour) if you only want to buy 6 then they are 拢1.85 each but if you buy 12 or 6 they will keep and you haven't got the problem off refilling them.
You usually need to drill little holes in the tops and inject new ink in. The refill kit will come with instructions. You need to be careful, but it's not rocket science.
Three tips: use a proper drill to make the holes, not the hand held thing that should be in the kit. Do not overfill. Refill as soon as the print quality drops - the ink jets run hot and need the ink to cool them down. If they run dry, they will burn out.
u need to get someone to show you that knows abit about computers
dead right you`ll end up in a right old mess, if you get it wrong!
